Rough night for Sinton in baseball and softball tonight.

In baseball the Pirates start district with Rockport-Fulton (RF) and will be a tough test. You have to remember that RF is a former 4A school that is now in 3A and one of the bigger schools in 3A now. Also the new baseball facilities are having the grand opening tonight and adds more pressure to the Pirates as RF would love to ruin it for them.

In softball RF is coming to down for a district game and RF just lost a tough game to highly thought of Ingleside. This is most fearsome.

Also you have to remember that former great football player Dat Nguyen who played for RF and A&M and the Dallas Cowboys is from Rockport. That increases the risk.

Scary times indeed. :(

You are worrying too much Phil. The Pirates always seem to find a way to win in baseball.:D

In a close one Sinton won the baseball game over RF 3-2. All Sinton scores were on wild fast balls with a player on third. The last one was in the 7th inning.

In softball Sinton won 10-2 but RF does have some good hitters and a good pitcher but 5 errors hurt them along with mental mistakes. Sinton also won the JV game 13-0.

Sinton boys win 3-2 in bottom of 7th inning on a wild pitch! Very close and hard fought game. Girls were winning 10-2 when the boys game ended. Sinton plays Ingleside in their next district game.

There were a few of the older Pirate baseball players in the house tonite. Coach Atzenhoffer through out the first pitch. Tried to make the throw from the mound, but bounced it to the catcher. it was called a strike and the new stadium is officially open for some great Pirate baseball!!!
