If this was a week 5 matchup I'd say Snyder by 3. TD's. But, since it's week 0 I'll flip a coin.

Its bein played just west of the sand dunes. Think I might take Mrs. Squared with me. Tuff duty though cuz she will expect to stay in some swanky hotel instead of pulling over and sleeping at a rest stop like I normally do. :doh:

Try the BEST WESTERN on I-20. I stay there when I have to work in the area. Not bad.

I remember playing there in '99 when Cumbie was the QB. First time coach Baugh chartered a bus and it broke down between Midland and Odessa. The score was 39-6 if my memory hasn't faded since hitting the 50 mark. Seemed like Murphy's law was in affect, if it could go wrong, it did.

That is for sure. Spent 2 hours waiting on another bus.

My first year as the head Coach we played there week 0. It was a great game from my point of view. We did not play them regular season the next 2 years. We dropped to 3A and opened with Frenship instead great planning on my part huh. They beat us in the playoffs that year 02 1st round at Ratliff. Then 03 we beat them in the 1st round at Grande. In 04 they did not make the playoffs. 05 we were 9-1 and they were 10-0 they beat us at Grande. in 06 we played at Grande week 1 they won played 2nd round @ Lowery field we won. In 07 week 0 @ Grande stadium they won second round playoffs grande we won. 08 did not play regular season second round at Andrews they won. 09 we did not get in the playoff no game. This season at Snyder they won week 0 3rd round of the playoffs San Angelo they won. It is usually a great game and atmosphere. I might have miss spelled some things if so sorry

One of my favorite matchups in Region I. I've been lucky enough to watch most of the games
you've mentioned because they didn't conflict with Sweetwater's schedule. But, this year I'm
going to stay home and watch two former Region I powerhouses go at it when Vernon comes to
town.
