Butler won 71-70. Everyone figured that Butler had blown the game up by one when they fouled a player at half court with under 2 seconds left. The guy hit the first but missed the second so it was tied at 70. Butler got the defensive rebound and a player from Pitt unbelievable fouls Howard and he makes the first free throw and then intentionality misses the second.

the big east just doesn't realize how much they hurt their teams in ncaa play by allowing their MMA type of basketball all year long, their kids roll into tourney time continuing to play big east football instead of basketball and wonder why officials from other conferences where basketball is played rather than bruiseball and fouls are actually called call tons of fouls on them......i feel bad for the pitt player but the play he made at the end of the game was exactly the same type of play he had been making the entire game......if not, butler would have steam rolled them.....
