I understand the 2 games that are playing for 16 seeds, but I dont get the whole idea with teams playing for 11 and 12 seeds...I didnt watch any selection Sunday show today so if the explained it please forgive me

Basically it's the money hungry corrupt organization that is the NCAA trying to make more money by adding more games than the ONE "Play In" game they've had the passed few years.

The thing that will get confusing is they are calling these 4 games the "First Round", not Thursday and Friday's games.

over the next few years you will see more of this early 1st round crap.....until they have NO teams "on the bubble" that wonder why they dint get in.....

kinda like the UIL keeps doing letting almost any team that plays a game into the playoffs so they get more of those 15% of the gate fees.....

the 11/11 and 12/12 are the last four at large teams. You have the last 4 automatic qualifiers playing then the last 4 at large teams playing.

68 teams in the the NCAA Tourny
32 teams in the National Invitational Tourny (The original)
AND Another 24 teams in the College Insider Tournament.

I'm sorry, but if you weren't deemed good enough to be in the 100 teams chosen for the NCAA and the NIT....do you really need to go to a post season tournament? North Texas was invited to this CIT tournament and turned it down. DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD OF A TOURNAMENT YOU ARE WHEN NORTH TEXAS IS SAYING THANKS BUT NO THANKS???
