I had to leave while Bellville/NW were playing. Can someone post the final scores of this awesome tournament please?

To the LaGrange folks, thanks for hosting such a good tournament. The confines/teams were top notch, and the food was the best I ever had at a ball game. Amazing. Can't wait till next year.

Bellville defeated New Waverly 3-2 to take 3rd place. A real Nail Biter at the end! Way to go Brahmas!!!!!
LaGrange defeated Giddings in 8 innings to win the tournament.

I knew I was going to miss some good ball. Thanks for the update nette_mom. Next year, I'm getting a hotel room in LaGrange and attending all the games.

Anything down on the river to stay at?

Congrats to the Leps! Does anyone have a bit more info on the championship game? Who all pitched, score?

La Grange 6 to 5 in 8 innings, after both starting pitcher gave up 5 runs early in the game then it became a pitcher dual. Becker pitched the entire game while Bippert was relieved in the 3rd inning by Wick . Wick was dominate the rest of the way with Vinklarek providing the game winning hit. Great game by both teams, will be interesting in District.
Congrats to Wick and Vinklarek for All tourney,s and Justin Neiser for MVP

Yes, District will be interesting. Was there any quirky stuff like bringing the 2nd place trophy up north and leaving it on the field this year? I got a good laugh outta that last year.

Pretty sure the 2nd place trophy made the bus trip back to Giddings with the team, that was pretty funny last year.
