:eek: Maybe the Federation could come up with a Mercy rule on the Mercy rule. Instead of a game having to go five innings, maybe they stop when one team gets up by 20 runs or so.....:thinking:

That's the way baseball go.

If the Rangers can beat another professional team by 27 runs a couple years back, it's not too surprising that the results could be even more spread out among high schools where there's an obvious talent difference.

Our team was up 12-0 once late in a game. The other team could not make an out to save there lives. So as one of my kids was rounding 3rd, I as a coach, grabbed the kid while off the base to take an intentional out while making it look like a brain fart.

The team ended up coming back 11-12 and left me sweating bullets. From that point on I, for the most part, had no problem with the saying "play it out".

Game was on a Tuesday night and had to get up for work early the next day
