Yes basketball is discussed here....Matt was part of a high powered Everman basketball team that was nationally ranked a few yrs back so basketball has been good to him to him.....but like someone else said, Jacket could care less so do so at your own risk. I try to wait until most football is over but I did get a peak at the # 1 ranked Everman Bulldogs yesterday!!!!

As a matter of fact the 1997-1998 Everman Bulldogs were NATIONALLY ranked....#25...we started out 21-0 and ended up 31-4 before losing in an upset to Longview Pine Tree in area...I still get sick thinking about that loss...we clearly were the best team in the state...regardless of class..yet we choked..here is a link

I played 2 yrs of little dribblers, 2 yrs in Jr High, and all 4 yrs of HS. Had a chance to go play at Oklahoma Christian but I had other plans. I still play from time to time, just hard to find people to play with. Anyone know of any leagues around the Dallas or Mesquite area, let me know.

Besides playing for a nationally ranked high school team..I played 2 years of JUCO ball at Trinity Valley CC where we advanced to the quarterfinals of the JUCO national tourney my freshman year..

My senior year at Everman was unreal...for a school with only 835 students at the time we were dominating 5A schools with ease...the collection of talent we had was sick..we had 14 players on the team 11 of whom played college sports..3 Division 1 basketball players...3 Division 1 football players...1 Division 2 football player...1 Division 2 basketball player and 3 guys who played JUCO basketball..

Memories LOL

Hey Matt...I saw Casey practice an old-school dunk before the scrimmage the other day....one of your old teammates used to specialize in this warmup dunk especially at home. I bet he's getting ready to break it out during the season. It will bring the house down....just like it used to.
