ccmom,
can you tell us how many of the basketball girls from A. Wylie also played at the state volleyball tournament?

Interesting that Wylie and Lovejoy are the only teams from all classifications to play in the volleyball and basketball state tournaments.

Sr Natalie Davis and Soph Kylie Jenkins are both making their 3rd appearance at a state tourney (2 basketball, 1 volleyball) in a 12 month period. These girls are making some great memories in their high school careers! Here is a link to an article about the two of them and their experiences.

http://www.reporternews.com/news/2011/feb/26/success-hasnt-spoiled-wylie-girls/

Also worth mentioning, Region 1 Tourney MVP, junior Peyton Little...if you have a chance to watch her play, you won't want to miss it. She verbally committed to UT as a soph, and for good reason. She is flat out amazing!!

I totally have to agree. I watched Peyton slice-and-dice Liberty Hill in last year's Region I finals.

I'm doing a couple broadcasts for UIL in the tourney so I look forward to seeing the 3A teams play. Should be a great tourney for the 3A folks! Good luck to ALL teams - and congrats for making it to state!

and how would you figure out the highest rated team........and what if after you figured out a way to rate the teams fairly(not based on some reporters poll or coaches poll) and accurately...that team was from region iv?

they shouldnt even be allowed in the poll... How does the #2 team in the state get doubled up? SPent the entire season feasting on crap CC teams.

maybe just maybe Wylie is good really good...maybe experience and not being aw of Austin didn't effect Wylie.

maybe just maybe Wylie is on a mission didn't they lose a close one last year.................you know people often say their team is on a mission and they feel sorry for anyone that gets in their way.

wow a little research and i just saw that Wylie ripped Kennedale...wasn't Kennedale the number 1 team in the state.........so I guess maybe region one is almost as weak a iv?

One of Rockport-Fulton's star players was out due to injuries. Otherwise Region 4 team would be in the finals and you could have reversed this score.

Speaking of crap! Seems like a lot of it is spilling out of your mouth. Very easy to jump on the bandwagon after the game.

and Wyie had two great players quit before the season started or it would have been 100-38.
