Clutching their numbers like winning lottery tickets, hundreds of Dallas ISD employees openly celebrated their approaching retirement Saturday. Here is link to story. These educrats took the money and ran.

Let's see; $10,000 cash money, or 60 kids in a classroom, raised standards, much fewer resources, and a good chance of losing your job this year or next. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Even in a school district we get hints of nonsense politics! How does a BROKE school district offer a 7 million dollar set aside for early retirement incentives? Once again we see money being spent that doesn't exist! This money will only help 700 of the estimated 4000 employees that will lose their jobs yet it represents going further into the hole. At the very least why didn't they simply offer a severance check to all 4000 employees that will get laid off? At least each person would get something!
