Smithville beat Rockdale in OT last night to more than likely secure them 2nd in district behind Navasota. who and where they play is info i would like, Also the smithville girls competed in the bball playoffs monday for the 18th year in a row winning from my understanding and moving on to the 2nd round friday. say what you want about smithville's football program there basketball program boys and girls have been solid and a playoff regular since the early 90';s with the girls making the state tourny and playing in the championship game in 00.

That is incorrect. Sweeny will face the winner of Zapata and Orange Grove next Friday Feb. 25.

I didn't think he could top his coaching job from last year, but getting this squad to the playoffs might just do it. He has taken a very young one of the youngest teams I ever remember Fairfield having to the playoffs.

I think Liberty Hill and Somerset and Sweeny will have something to say about that one. Bring it on. All the DC in the Lower bracket are state ranked teams. The top bracket looks pretty weak. Saw West Oso fall apart last year in the regional semis against Stafford. Screaming and yelling at each other, loosing all composure and yelling at their coach. I was embarrassed for those guys and I had no dog in the fight. So unless that has stopped we will see about all that. Liberty Hill is tough and Somerset has better athletes than anyone in the region. Sweeny is always really good and have been for the last 5years in this region. We will see what happens.

It might be one of the better teams but I dont think its any better than what it was last year! Robinson isnt playing like he was last year and I dont know if that has to do with signing to A&M Kingsville? There bench was deeper and as far as their schedule is concern... It believe it was a tougher schedule!

I have seen a few of these regional teams this year. Somerset, Liberty Hill, Salado.....all roads do run through West Oso in my opinion. Oso is loaded with Seniors that have tasted bitter defeat at Regionals the last couple of years. Going to be very interesting to see if they can get over the hump and to Austin.

I was at both of those games, I am here to tell you last night was the sorriest excuse of officiating I have ever seen. Besides the head ref knew he screwed up considering he had them call the police right after the half. And Bret got 2 technicals in a row right at the end of the half because of it.

The Cleveland team is wow. They make it look so easy. hit us w about 12 dunks. A ally. numerous 3;s. Smithville was just outmatched. Tigers won the third qt, and i guess ill take that lol. We where deer in headlights. I can see why there ranked 3. There going to be a tough out in this tourny.
