I'm 75% Dixie.....I guess that's a good thing.....i'd rather just be 100% Texan and be through with it, though. Don't want to associate myself with the Southeast at all.

I scored 80% Dixie (Strong Southern Score). How did some of you score 100% particularly when on the first question there is no option of Aunt rhyming with "paint"?

Ranger Mom
02-24-2004, 12:51 PM
I was 100% - and I have NEVER pronounced Aunt like paint. I have always said it like "ant"!!

Although....I don't call my aunts and uncles, "aunt and uncle" anyway!! I never have!!

Well darn them English teachers I had... :D ... Texas born and raised (or is it reared?)... I will say this though - no matter what state I travel to - they always seem to peg me as a Texan... that's better than Dixie in my book... wink

It's strange...my boss (who was born and raised in and around west Texas) scored a 57% Dixie, while his wife (who lived in Ireland for the first 30 years of her life) scored a 69% Dixie.

He printed out his answers, and we had alot of the same answers.

He had never heard of a rolypoly, whereas that was the only thing on that list that I HAD heard of.

The only one I guess I really just took a guess on, was the TPing, toilet papering, etc. I just guessed TPing, because we have always called it "wrapping" and that wasn't a choice
