I had a bunch of the toys thru the 60's. After that my "toys" became quite a bit more expensive.:D

I loved my Tudor electric football game. It didn't matter that those little guys ran all over the place. I saved every penny I could to buy all the teams.(which I eventually did.) Still have em'. And if you don't think that game provoked violence, you're wrong! I once broke out in a fight with a buddy cause he was getting his butt whooped and started breaking my little guys in half! I told him to stop but he didn't so it was on!! I lost a friend that day..lol.....

My other favorite game was Battling Tops. Loved seeing those spinning tops crash into each other. I heard the company (Parker Brothers?) took them off the shelves cause somebody got poked in the eye when one of those things went flying out of the ring! Not sure that's a true story though.....If I had one today, I'd still play it...

From wikipedia:

Battling Tops is a children's game first manufactured by Ideal in 1968. In 1977 it was renamed Battling Spaceships in response to Star Wars fervour. After Ideal was sold in 1982, Marx took over the game. By the late 1980s, the game was out of production. In recent years Mattel has rereleased Battling Tops.

One of the neatest toys I ever bought my son around 1980 or so, was a programmable tank called "Big Trak". My son and I played with that thing for hours. I understand that it is also being re-released.

Is the hula hoop listed? I think it was very popular for a while in the late 50s and even a hit song was made up about it. They were selling for $1.98 each while they were popular and that was expensive in the 50s. As the popularity went down so did the price until they were 10 cents each but for a while it was very popular.
