I'm a football man, but I got to tell you that the boys are just not as intense as the girls. Every single girl on a girl's team is up and yelling for her team the whole game, and I have never seen a girl athlete give up or "dog" it on any play.

Oh I agree at points it can be entertaining, especially if you can get to posts on opposite teams who will slug it out. But 9 times out of 10 I find them snooze fests...just my opinion.

No. 1 state ranked Kennedale blew past Burkburnet 79-55 in Jackboro. At one point when Burk had 15, I think they had more turnovers than points. No. 3 Levelland was upset by Lubbock Cooper so if we get by them, it's either #4 Shallowater or #13 Wylie. I just want to go to Austin. Go Lady Wildcats. Oh, by the way, Kennedale only graduates one player, Desiree Scott. Most of the players are freshman and sophmores.

RF is tough for sure. We don't start a senior, so the youngsters are going to have to play their A game like they did versus Wimberley. Each game they have improved and they love this chance to do something we have not done since the 90's--GO TO STATE. When you get these non-seniors on a roll, they are hard to stop sometimes.

We have solid outside shooters, a solid post and play aggressive controlled "D". That should allow us to play with them I think.

rockport is without their3 yr starting point guard, this should be interesting if they ad advance and ingleside advances it will set-up a district 30-3A rematch. the last time these two teams met rockport beat ingleside 58-42 after trailing the mustangs by six points at half-time....that game Ingleside lost their 4yr starting point guard with a shoulder injury, i believe she was out the next 3 games, now that she's back the mustangs are again on fire. They beat us twice in district. The second game was without our point guard. She is the sparkplug to the team. I don't know if we could beat them with her in the game. R-F is pretty solid all the way around. Their bench fills the gaps pretty good. I'm not saying Yoakum can't win but you will definitely have to be at the top of your game.

Thanks for the compliments to the Lady Leopards. They both come by there athleticism honestly. #10 is Summer Dolezel (soph) is the neice of Clint Dolezel, the record holding quarterback of Arena Football League. Summers dad is also a coach at Lorena.

#11 is Katie Sampson (jr) is the daughter of Kellis Sampson, the QB for the State Champion 1987 football team.

She and Summer are balls of fire. Katie made varsity as a freshman in all sports, at the massive height of 5'4".

Congrats to the Wylie Ladies. Peyton Little should be MVP. I listened to the game on Bulldog radio and her name was being mentioned constantly. Kennedale has a very young team and I'm sure this was a growing experience. Do Region 1 proud and come back with a trophy.
