I was wondering about what HS has the biggest enrollment in Texas, so I looked up the 5A enrollment nos.---looks like Plano East wins with 6171 students. Folks, that is a small college---not a highschool. Following are the UIL 5A enrollments:

Plano East and Plano ISD as a whole is actually divided up weird..East has 2 high schools with 9th and 10th grade only (Williams HS and Clark HS) then Plano East Sr. High has 11th and 12 grade

Yep. Plano, Plano East, and Plano West are actually Sr high campuses with high school feeders(9th and 10th).
Plano also didn't have much trouble with their budget shortfalls. Maybe they're onto something?

Is it dated? A few weeks ago there was an article about how they had a $10 million shortfall and fixed it without any teacher layoffs.

That's FBISD's fault...they should drop to 4A

http://pisd.edu/news/archive/2010-11/financial.exigency.shtml

declared that a financial exigency exists within the district and on January 18, voted to approve a reduction in force

Now it does not mention teachers..so maybe that is what they are touting..reducing staff, but not teachers??
