When the National Anthem was being goofed up, the camera panned different players....what ever happened to showing respect...many were jumping around, scratching, generally doing something else.

What ever happened to placing your right hand over your heart & facing the flag. Perhaps they don't know any better, forgot, or could it be that theyare a bunch of "that kinda crap is for the little people"...it teed me off.

Yep, it ticked me off, too. No excuse for that. She not only messed up the national anthem, but a lot of players didn't show the proper respect. A couple of players actually had a tear in their eyes when they played it. That showed they took it to heart. I like to see that kind of respect.

They took prayer away for the wrong reasons. Realistically people aren't in a religious mood at a football game but they did it as a concession to non Christians. Maybe they should do away with the National Anthem and pledges since people are not in a patriotic mood. Same applies to flag pledges and moment of silence. Get to the game.

Just a thought but probably a bad one. But the way we are going it is probably only a matter of time before one nation under God is dropped to one nation.

Part of the reason is that nowadays it takes about 15 minutes for somebody to sing the Anthem because they have to make sure they hit every unnecessary note possible to show off their pipes. I'm sure the players get a little antsy.:nerd:
