You say Newton 8,lol.You are assuming Giddings will shut down Newton's offense.
What about field goals,Newton has one of the best kickers in the state,he kicked a 44 yard field goal breaking the school record
that would have been good at 54 yards. Not happening,Newton21/Giddings 7.

I heard they lost to LaGrange.

yeah, we lost to la grange. but being our first game since yoakum got rained out, we weren't exactly the team we are now. either way we should have won that game, but due to a few mishandled catches on punts, we lost. and all you people talking about how "turf is gonna make us a lot faster than ya'll", are ya'll just ignorant to the fact that it will make our defense that much faster? turf doesn't work only for one team. and for all the people sayin newton will blow us out, are ya'll crazy? i'm sure ya'll have a good offense, but nobody in the playoffs has scored more than 14 against us. ya'll better have your defense ready, because i don't plan to be beat. anyway, it should be a great game, but don't count us out. we will be tough. i promise. good luck to both teams.

Yea maybe giddings should of won that game, but that was also when La Grange didnt have a quarterback they were still trying to decide who should play and they still won. Now they got a new quarterback that looks good so far. Under him they have all there wins except one and there offense has been playing its best since the loss of tye gunn. So its a whole new ball game and La Grange as well as Giddings has gotten better. I think whoever wins between La Grange and Giddings will win it all. Good luck to both teams. La Grange 21 Giddings 17

LaGrange does not get to play Giddings. Newton will see to that.

I'm sure ya'll have a fast defense, and probably one of the best in the state, but so does Newton. Newton has faced two of the best offenses in the state the last two weeks. However, I don't think ya'll have played an offense like Newton has got. Their O-line is very quick, and their backs can run though you, over you, or around you, it doesn't make them any difference, just ask China Springs. I hate to hurt your feelings, but Newton will score more than 14 points on ya'll this week. I'm not counting ya'll out, ya'll do have a great team, as does everyone else playing this week, but next week we will be counting I'll be counting ya'll out. If I were you, I would change my plans about not getting beat to getting beat. LOL

Husker We will just have to see at game time.

I still think that Newton will be held to under 14 points.

We will see though I think that it might be a defensive battle with giddings pulling it out in the end.

Giddings 28- Newton 7

But no one can predict what the score will be. We will just have to see after the game.

Great game

I wish both teams the best of luck.

3aFootball4Life,

There is no way Giddings will score 28 points on Newton's defense. They are not that good. If Giddings does pull it out, it will be a lot closer than 21 points. You are way too overconfident boy!

Newton 28-15

Thats where you are wrong husker98... You really have no Idea what kind of team Giddings has.

You will soon see though.

Husker 98- Where are you from? These games are unpredictable. Team speed must go to the Buffs and they are definitely bigger. Buffs will separate in the 4th and win by 13.

Panther69- 'Where are YOU from?' I thought these games are unpredictable?!?!?! lol
I have been around these message boards long enough to know how to not make myself look stupid. Try to learn a few lessons on that yourself, and stop predicting the games that you believe are 'unpredictable.'
These football forums are to make predictions and talk about what you see in certain teams. Husker obviously sees something different from what you see. LIVE WITH IT. We will see who has the right predictions tommorrow night on the field in Huntsville. I have to go with Husker and say that Newton will win this one off of speed and offense. I don't see Giddings stopping Newton's offense many times, but if they do it will be an interesting game that could go either way.

Old Buff,
3Aroy may not know the panther, but he knows football. Evidently you and panther69 don't kow anything about Newton's team. Have ya'll seen them on film? I will have to say that Giddings does have the size advantage, but definitely not more speed.

Husker, Giddings doesn't have anymore size than Jasper. They certainly don't have anymore speed than Jasper or Newton. The pineywoods boys will prevail this week.

HEY REV, WHAT YOU THINK ON TONIGHTS SCORING?
BE HONEST!

I don't think it will be over a 14 point ballbame either way. It will probably be closer than that. Being right down the road from Newton, my heart is with them.

Let's hope for no rain and an injury free game.

Good luck.

I'm in Huntsville right now, and it looks like it's gonna flood. According to the weather it's supposed to. I hope it doesn't because it will effect the way both teams play.

Unfortunately, no. I have the in-laws in town tonite. I think it would be in my best interest not to go or I will be living in the dog house for a while. LOL!! I will be listening on the radio though. By the way, M.L. just left the office. Said he will be leaving for the game around 4:30.
