A helicopter and a couple of guys with 12-gauges will do wonders to thin those pesky critters out.

I second the Holy Crap! I knew it was getting bad, but that is just plain crazy. Need to utilize the old style cliff jumpings to limit the population some.

like I said, I am not sure where that video was taken but here in DeWitt County, the wild hogs have literally taken over my husband's lease (outside of Westhoff close to Gonzales county) he had the corn feeders staked off with pipe fencing with barbed wire - they went through that like a hot knife through butter. He has alot of pics on his game camera but it usually so dark, it's hard to see how many there are.

The wife and I went to a predator control class in Lampasas a while back. A fellow with the TX Dpt of Agriculture told us that the whole hog situation is soon to be so bad that we won't even consider coyotes a problem. So many different problems with hogs: they kill any young livestock or wild game they come across, they make fields totally unharvestable, they destroy fences and let your livestock get free....leaving you with a possible legal liability.

Granted, they may be fun to hunt, but the long range implications if not managed are too severe to ignore. Personally, I've become wary of being out on my ranch without some heavy firepower at hand (I used to just carry a .22 mag or .17 cal with me). Bigger cannon is better with hogs!!!!!

We tear those suckers up where I live. If you were smart you would have a feeder pen to keep those suckers out.
