DeWitt County could see three inches of snow Thursday

The National Weather service has issued a winter storm watch for DeWitt County and almost the rest of the state through Friday morning.
A wind chill advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Thursday.
According to the NWS, the combination of very cold arctic air and an approaching upper-air disturbance will produce a good chance of light snow across much of the Hill Country and South Central Texas on Thursday through Friday morning.
DeWitt County could see one to three inches of snow accumulation. The snow is expected to increase by Thursday afternoon.

44, hopefully y'all will just get enough to enjoy it and not interrupt your lives too much. I have never known schools around here to be closed for this long, not to mention so many stores and businesses. The snow is so packed now and it's so cold that the kids don't even want to play in it and we all have cabin fever. I'm ready for some sunshine, but it doesn't look like that will come tomorrow either.

We have been without water at my house since yesterday. I have a feeling our city crews tried to fix something. :doh:

Our water has so far been ok and we somehow missed the blackouts yesterday, even though some of our friends and neighbors were without power for 6 hours. I know I probably shouldn't complain, but as you can see, I am. :(

We have been pretty lucky here. Haven't had much snow and what we have had is very powdery. I think some Odessa schools have closed, Midland's have just been delayed a couple of hours each day. It is just so darned COLD!!!

I came to work prepared today since our outage yesterday was for 2 hours. I brought a book, blanket and my lunch just in case. I figure since I prepared so well for the worst, everything will be just fine.;)

So far, I am still the only one here. I live further out than anyone else in the office...everyone else lives in town....Greenwood is 12 miles out...and I am ALWAYS the first one here!! :)

It's snowing at my house again, now. We still have at least 4 inches of packed snow on the ground with a couple of inches of solid ice under that. I can't imagine school canceling tomorrow for a 4th consecutive day, but I guess that's a real possibility.

Oh, and our pipes are now frozen. I guess I spoke too soon.

I had all kinds of plants coming up in my flowerbed...some never had completely died off from last summer!
