Uh oh. Lol...I would first try to delete the program if possible from your list. If that does not succeed I would try a basic system restore. If this does not work then I would think about doing a complete system restore(if its bad enough and you have no other options). If you do the complete system restore keep in mind that you may need backup CD's and you will lose everything on your hard drive.

Restart computer, press F8 at startup and do a restore to an earlier point

Restore is not an option. There were some great suggestions last time I had this issue. Wish I could find that thread.

Well if its not going to boot at all you will need to do a complete system restore which resets your computer to factory settings.

Same thing happened last time. Took it to a shop and they fixed it for $120. But Id rather fix it for free if I can. But I can't do a whole system restore.

Arrr! just got a virus, AntiVirusNet.com searching for Calallen baseball tournament schedule

Well, its a pretty good virus lol, it blocks anything you try and disable the internet broswers.

just got rid of it by first disabling the message pop when you try to execute something and then did system restore :)

My wife's computer came down with an "antivirus" virus a couple of weeks ago.

Start the computer in safe mode if possible. Turn off proxy settings on the internet explorer, and you should be able to surf the internet again. These viruses set up a fake proxy that redirects you to a fake web page that they've stored on your computer

Download Rkill and malwarebytes anti-malware remover. (Google search should help you find these)

Run the Rkill in safe mode (you may have to run it a couple of times before it actually works and disables the virus.

Then open malwarebytes and BEFORE you scan, make sure the latest updates are downloaded. (If you don't, you're liable to have to do the entire process twice)

Run the malwarebytes program, and it will take an hour or so, but should find all of the files and should be able to delete them when it's done with a system restart.

If you get a warning that malwarebytes or rkill is a virus trying to infect your computer or that it's an unsafe program, ignore it. That's the virus trying to prevent you from using it.

Are you saying you cant do it because its not doable or you cant do it and lose your stuff? Whats the brand and model of your computer?

Both. Not sure I have the restore disk and I can't afford to lose everything.

Seriously, it depends on what operating system you use. System restore is the best bet. Stay away from facebok app request....If all else fails, get a mac:D

www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php is the link. If it is malware this will fix it. It is a free download. I have it on both my pc's and it works every time.

+1 ETB, me and Jauch are in charge or keeping up over 250 machines. This is about the only way to get rid of this virus.

Well, it won't even boot, so it's all a moot point now. Luckily, like rancher says, coaches make a ton of money so it won't be a problem.

Did you try safe mode? Just had to ask. I trouble shoot systems all the time.
