Snow isn't a problem for most cars with a decently competent driver, (unless it's really deep on the road) but down here we either tend to have a layer of ice underneath it or a melt and refreeze overnight. Of course it's colder than a well diggers hiney in Idaho here in west Texas so melt won't be an immediate problem.
Also...just a reminder for all you 4X4 people: having four wheels powered may get you moving quicker in snow, sleet, rain....but it won't do a DANG THING to help you stop any shorter or get around corners at high speed.;)

It all started with a man and his dream. And his wife's permission of course.

My 3/4 ton 4x4 was no match for this weather.

My 4-cylinder Chevy Malibu was passing trucks and SUVs with no problem on my way in to work.
Tread depth helps a lot.

Not here. There's no snow at all, but about 2 inches of ice eveywhere. My 4x4 did fine until it was time to either stop or turn. Then I ended up on the sidewalk. Decided it was time to take it to the house.

The ice is there in Denton, but thankfully, there are about 8-10 inches of snow on top of it that makes driving a little more manageable.

Just thought I would post a pic of my daughter and I and yes she enjoyed the snow today. Anybody see the irony in this pic?
