View Full Version : Texas Vs. Texas A&M

Texas will be traveling to College Station tonight for round 2. Texas is coming off a comfortable win over Missouri while A&M lost on the road to an underrated, but not great Nebraska team. The way things have been going you would think Texas would win in another blowout, but the game is in CS so it could be interesting IMO.

This one should be much tighter than the runaway in Austin, and I am pulling for the Ags to get the big upset and confidence booster, but I think the Horns take this one by 2.

Yeahhhh.

This is another embarrassing loss for A&M. Texas just completely out powered the Aggies all over the court.

Not much to say. The horns are just that good this year. The Ags don't have a leader, shooter, and are more often than not out of position on defense and rebounding. Their fastbreak defense has to be the most atrocious in the league right now. The young guys off the bench need some playing time for the future, and Turgeon needs to get some size in the paint and shooters on the recruiting trail. They have done well in recent years, but 6'7 220ish guys will get pushed around in the paint all day long.

i think the aggies cut the lead to eight in first half and texas answered with a huge run at one 15-1....then i dozed off.

I didn't watch the whole game, but don't be too down on the Aggies.

UT is damn good this year. They beat Kansas on thier floor which doesn't happen.

The Aggie are a very good team. UT is a top 5.

the ag's could be lucky to go 500 with the rest of the schedule..........Baylor x2, at Kansas, at OSU, at Colorado and now tech(x2) might of just begun to right the ship.


in summary 4 at home and 5 on the road.

But what is alarming zebrablue2 is that UT missed too many free throws in the second half. Plus once they got ahead by 20 to 25 points they couldn't increase the difference but stayed in that range. Scary times indeed!

I changed the channel when it was 18-6. It looked like men vs. boys out there.

A&M looked lost out there most of the game. Turgeon went as far as to say they were "uncoachable" and that he had lost them in practices. That is the biggest WTH statement from a head coach I have heard in a while. Makes me wonder if they will even want to respond to him anymore. It really doesn't matter if they can't score more than 49 points two games in a row. Piss poor shooting, and your best player being held SCORELESS are not signs of a good team. If anything, they should be booted from the top 25 so the overrated chants don't hurt their poor little feelings anymore.
