The NHL gets all of their all stars, then two captains pick the teams.

Think the pro bowl would benefit for something like this?

It really is a neat concept. Only difference is I would let two coaches pick from the pool as opposed to two captains.

The pro-bowl could benifit but MLB it wouldn't.

The great part about MLB, is the all-star games means home field advantage for the world series, so it's important to win the game.
