View Full Version : Sinton66 & his family need our prayers

I just found out that Tony, aka Sinton66, is in the hospital. His wife posted on Facebook that a bone marrow biopsy, CT scan and MRI had been run yesterday. From her status update it seems he was very anemic and received 3 units of blood. A few hours ago, she posted the results.

Our owner and friend has been diagnosed with prostate, bone, and lung cancer.

Prayers needed.

We will pray for Tony and his Family.

He has been the main force behind this family called 3ADownlow. He deserves ALL our prayers because he is the reason why this site is still here today.

God Bless you Tony! Please God, allow your healing hand to heal Tony with all his complications and help him to make a full recovery from this terrible illness.
Please comfort Marylin and his children, please guide them during this horrible ordeal.

We will pray and continue to pray for him and his family.

Hey SintonFan Tony was the first 3A Downlow member or close to it that I ever met. I don't remember how he knew what who I was but he approached me and asked me if I was Phil C and when I confirmed he told me who he was. This was at a baseball game in our state championship year in 2002. I know we all are praying for a complete recovery. Remember they are progressing more and more in the medical field and can do lots of things they couldn't even do three years ago.

Thank you Phil.

Update!

Tony is at the North Shore Hospital in Pasadena. He was admitted Wednesday because of his anemia.
He has had several blood transfusions because he was so anemic. He is awaiting more test results and has at least one more biopsy to be performed tomorrow.
He seems upbeat. God Bless him!

Please keep him in your Prayers!

Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. The Doctor came in this morning and spoke with me and the family. They are doing a biopsy Monday to determine the starting point. It was either the prostate or bladder. The cancer has spread to the bones which is what was causing all the severe bbak pain I've been having since about September. One kidney is blocked and unable to drain so at the same time they are doing the biopsy they will put in a tube to get the kidney to drain. The kidney issue is the reason they are keeping me in the hospital. The Doctor told the family this morning there is no cure since it has spread to the bones already. He is very optomistic they can put this into remission enough to return to work and an active life. There will be some hormone therapy at first to see how well that works. If that works as well as he hopes then thats what they will stay with. He's saying there is no need for chemo or radiation unless the hormone treatments don't work like he anticipates. So, that's where we are right now.I'll update more as we go and I find out more. In the meantime, again thanks for your prayers.

Also, a slight correction, I'm at BAYSHORE hospital off Spencer Hwy. in Pasadena.

Get well my friend, you can always come home to the downlow for friendship and support. As you know, we will all be behind you in your fight. That's exactly what it is too, a fight, and I trust that you will fight with all of hell's fury to slay this 3 headed dragon. Keep your head up and summon all of your strength. Get right with God, because he will help you more than anyone else, and pull your family in tight because you will need all of the support you can get. You will tire and you will have doubts but stay resolved and trust God to light the path before you and follow that path. If there is anything that we can do for you or your family do not hesitate to ask, because we love you too big guy. We are your extended family and in Texas you take care of your own.

Sincerely,
Your friendly neighborhood GreenMonster
