My daughter's mother-in-law is buying a place on the lake.

Come to find out, the person who she has been paying all this time doesn't even own it!!

She is now looking for a "Steve Patterson" whose name shows on all the tax documents.....any of you Brownwood people know him???

Sounds like a warranty deed with a vendors lien. He has not been playing on his lien so the seller can take the property back (foreclose) if he has not payed in full. Must not have done a title search. :(
