Good for Snyder.
But it seems strange that a 3A town is hosting the 4A tournament. Wonder how that came about?
They do have a good facility that can handle the tournament, but motel rooms might be a problem.

Has Snyder had motels popping up in the last few years like some towns in Texas?

In just the past 3-8 years or so I've noticed Brownwood, Stephenville, and Cleburne all getting new motels. These are towns you don't think of having a ton of people needing places to stay when driving through, but I guess they do. I've seen Hampton Inns, La Quinta Inns, Comfort Inns, Holiday Inns, Motel 6, etc etc etc going up in these towns.

lots of the small west texas towns getting new motels are from the large hunting crowds coming each fall.....

then the football team fans and the reunion crowds benefit from it....

Great location for a tournament that could have teams from El Paso, Permian Basin, Panhandle, and DFW areas.

I am guessing its being played at the coliseum and not the high school?

Yes the Coliseum.....I'm fired up after we beat Mansfield Summit last night

The business area along I-20 has really flourished the past few years. There was a lot of property
available and some national hotel and restaurant chains jumped on it.

My guys from Everman can wrap up the district 7-4A crown tonight with a win over Cleburne...

Everman took a huge step towards the district crown with a 69-58 win over Mansfield Summit at home Tuesday. Summit the 11th ranked team in the state has lost to Everman twice this year.
The Bulldogs are 24-5 on the year and 11-1 in District 7-4A play.

Hoping to make the trip to Snyder!

another fact.........Coach Dacus was once the AD/HFC/HBBB at a 3A school that played for the state title in football (lost unfortunately) and won the state title in hoops the next with a perfect record.
