I am very glad that my senior year will now include a trip to the BCS Title game. We will beat Stanford in it.

Happy for Case, but I'm not real sure how he gets a 6th year and Derrick Roland (basketball player at A&M that broke his leg) couldn't get a medical redshirt for a 5th year..

Because Case has a chance to break some records and generate some publicity, so the NCAA jumped on the opportunity and let him play again.

Not that I'm complaining, but the NCAA is going to give higher profile players more chances. Especially in football when the player is a possible Heisman candidate.

He is an outstanding young man. I am very proud for him. Look out record books.

Keenum played in less than the 25% of games or whatever it is to get a medical redshirt while Roland played in more.....that is probably the real reason why...

Keenum's situation is unique in that normally if a player has already had a non-medical redshirt season they dont grant him a 6th year but they will a 5th if they have played in less than 25% of the games...Roland just was unfortunate in that he did not injure himself earlier in the year, bad situation all around for him...
