Gotta say..it looks better than those gigantic "Marvin the Martian" helmets with the long wraparound chin guards and such.

Safe is what I am interested in. I will be interested in seeing some testing data and get some testimonials once they hit the street. My son broke 2 facemasks off of helmets this season and I worry about that sort of thing.

Actual helmet looks fine. Those concept drawings look terrible though.

Definitely look better then the schutt space helmets.

Maybe these new super safe, softer helmets will make the helmet to helmet crybabies feel better:D And so now when kids don't feel the full impact of a head strike they will unknowingly start using the head as a weapon even more, then we'll start seeing more neck injuries. Then we'll probably come up with some sort of inflatable football uniforms and then heck, even girls could play.:D

The helmet to helmet crybaby statement was a joke, didn't you see the :D, my thing is that if the equipment is made to where the impacts are felt less under the helmet, the kids will actually start using the helmet as more of a weapon than they already do. I also think that if they do feel the impact a little more under the helmet, it will force them to use more of the body and lead with the shoulder instead of the head. I think the "softer" the helmet makes an impact "feel", the more neck injuries we may have.

Maybe I didn't really explain myself very well the first time, and for that I am very sorry. My bad.

There's another company that's been around for a few years that seems to have a pretty good helmet. I hear they're starting to catch on with many teams. I believe the company is Xenith. http://www.xenith.com/

Waste of money
