Chinese moms may drive their kids, but I'll still take our good ol' western mom's love and caring any day. It is scary to see what the world competition is doing to achieve success at any cost, however:

Chinese moms are harder on kids, but 30 minutes later the Chinese kids are ready for more.

Back to the article...I was impressed with it. And sorry I didn't demand more from my boys, who will all tell you I was a strict mom. But #4 definitely got less structure. Shoulda been Asian! Maybe Bellville would have done better if we adopted their standards. My favorite was that their child had to be first in the class. In a Chinese classroom, how is everyone #1??
