Time again for this South Texas Mega-Rivalry. Typically, you can throw the records out when the Owls and Panthers get together. Should be an interesting one. Hondo comes off a big win over Uvalde and MV is 3-0 after beating Floresville. Look for around 6-7 thousand at our new stadium. Lot's of money gets exchanged between the old-timers on this one.

Crow, I think we had a discussion last year about how these guys would come around after a little adjusting to a new system. No doubt Emerson's a very good coach. What's this about a new stadium though? I always follow MV, but haven't been to a game there since my brother graduated. What's the turf/capacity etc?

Gobbla-

Thanks, pods. We're trying to get this system rolling and so far, so good. I can honestly say that there's not ONE kid on the team that I wouldn't be proud to call my own son. Just a super group of young men. They completely bought in to what we were selling them (WEIGHTS especially) and it's really starting to show. District will be extremely tough but we've already turned the corner and we're really young. Several sophs starting and only losing a couple of impact players after this year.

Toby-

Yes, the stadium went through 1 million bucks worth of renovations. The old home side is now visitors. We built a brand new home side where the visitors once sat. You wouldn't even recognize it. Our capacity went from 1,950 to 6,000. New bathrooms (women's has 32 stalls!), new concessions, ticket gate, pavement, you name it. Its nice. The kids are responding to all the improvements and its only gonna get better. We've got a great staff here and we're all staying awhile. Come out and see a game. We'd love to have ya.

Later!

Hondo by 18. Who cares about a new stadium or whatever. It comes down to being on the field.

seasick4 -

First of all, since you're a coach at Rice, don't comment on this game.

Second of all, Hondo is 3A. Dipsh!t.

Ya Ya--

Sounds like a good pick. By that reasoning, would you pick Hondo to beat your beloved Bulldogs 47-3?
