Easy. I didnt slam other teams we beat all year, and I didnt set myself up for an embarrassing fall from Cocky Hill. I didnt say teams like Celina (an incredible program with a history that surpasses Brownwoods) by saying they are "has beens" and are finished and aint all "that". I didnt embarrass myself with claims of assured victory over a "weak" opponent. In other words...I didnt make a fool of myself with worthless predictions. Simple.

Well there you have it. Three years of crappy predictions, and you are left with your feelings all hurt. Gonna be a tough off-season, I see. But there is always next year for....oh, wait...no there isnt!!!! LOLOLOL
You get what you dish out and then you need a big boy sandbox friend to cover your back. It aint working, Pocket Rocket. You failed in your hyperbole. This (I take great pleasure in saying) is GREAT!!!
In all honesty though...dont take me seriously. I have been the same for 3 years. I grew up around football. If you take me seriously, you are missing the point. It's all in fun. I laugh at your responses. I grew up around football.

Ok so back to the question...
I was not at the game but listened to the fabulous Dallas Huston so I kind of felt like I was. Anyway, after the first half I felt like Brownwood had dodged a bullet on at least 2 drives and they were lucky Carthage had not scored 10-14 more points by that point in the game. I assumed those are the "miscues" ETB was referring, too.
No, Brownwood did not play a perfect game (and yes I was rooting for them) but I was wondering was what specific miscues does BEAST believe could have changed the outcome. Like I said..,he was there and I wasn't. Plus, I'm just a woman so sat it slow and with pictures if possible. ;) ;)

You might be a women, but you got it all right.
I was at the game and thought Carthage was the better team all the way around. I also think that it could have been worse for Brownwood. Brownwood came out in the second half and i thought for a moment that the tide had shifted and they might make a run at it, but for every Brownwood knock out punch Carthage would come back with one bigger.

As far as bullets being dodged, there were on both sides. My earlier post ties in with this. I think the first two games Carthage played, their apponents dodged bullets because Carthage wasn't full strength. I do think Carthage dodged a "bullet" against Bwd before kickoff due to McShan playing injured(MCL), they also dodged a "bullet" when Chastain went down in the first quarter with a broken leg, they dodged another bullet in the second quarter when Christopher went out with a seperated shoulder, and yet another "bullet" when Ratliff was on the sideline for nearly the entire 4th quarter. That's an aweful lot of firepower to be without when playing a team like Carthage. Would those players have made up for 7 pts. IDK, maybe. You've seen them play. What do you think

However, I was more interested in the "miscues" that were mentioned.

Off the top of my head
4th and 15-running into the punter-drive alive-TD
retarded special teams play-takes away another posession
I know there were a couple more but those 2 by themselves are too much against a team that has won back to back titles

And as far as the injury list, like I said it ties in to what was going on earlier in the thread...I know injuries are a part of the game, they have just as much impact at times as healthy AP allstate players do

The offense pass interference called against Shipley; that was big!
The drive that ended less than an inch of a first down (Might not have been a miscue, but was big)
Over all, I saw a very close game with miscues on both sides. Carthage was the better team on that night and they are the champions.
But, to state that Carthage should have won by 2 or more TDs because of missuses and not account for the missuses Brownwood had is nonsense!

I agree. But, I have a question. Their punter is a rugby style punter which means he running toward the line of scrimmage as he attempts to punt. Well, if the punter is running toward the line of scrimmage, isnt that a threat to run for the first? I was curious at the time and I still am on what the rule is on that.

Beast, the way I had it explained to me by an official is that as long as he has the ball out in front of him with both hands like a rugby style punter does, then he has not established himself as a runner even if he is running towards the line of scrimmage. Until he tucks it, or is carrying it with one hand, he is still protected as a punter.
