District 5-3A Tight In 2011?

Brownwwod sort of ran away in 5-3A this season. Think this district will return to one of the toughest in the state in 2011?

For sure, Wylie had a freak year this year, Snyder will be tough again and Ward is back, many may write Brownwood off because of graduation rate but I have watched the Brownwood kids win for a lot of years, tradition is a great thing. Big Spring and Sweetwater should be better in 2011, should be another fun year.

I think that 5-3A will be a tough district, hands down district 16-3A has got to be the toughest!

I think Snyder will be the team to beat in our district next year, but the district as a whole will be much more competitive. I'm ready now!!! ;)

I'm not really sure about Wylie for next year, or for that matter Brownwood, Sweetwater and Bigspring. I do know that Ward is coming back for Snyder, so even if they lose most everything else they still have to be the early favorite.

The bottom line is that we won't really know until the pads crash together next year. No doubt Sandifer will schedule his team another meat grinder pre-district to get a good idea of where they stand..

You are right as usual. One mistake Wylie agreed to play Snyder in Snyder next year as well.

Not good. I dont know what there record was. But, 3 of the JVs key players were on varsity early on. More came up as the season progressed. Plus 1 very gifted athlete didnt get to play any sports this year. He broke a bone in his neck last summer. He will be back next season.

I think Slaughter will be great in Sweetwater, but I think he lacks a couple more years. After that, they are going to be a great team.
