heard on tv he has chance at breaking the state career rushing record. Is he that close to Kenneth Halls record?

He wont, he has 7,000 yards and will need another 4,000+ next season

He has already broken the season TD mark set by Ken Hall (57) with his 8 TD performance setting the new record at 59. He has 135 career TDs, and WILL break Traylon Sheads mark of 146 set last year.

As far as rushing, he has 6965 yards and would need to amass 4267 yards to catch Ken Hall at 11,232. IOW, he would have to average 267 yards a game and play in another SC game to break the record. He needs "just" 3334 yards to surpass Traylon Shead for 2nd place all time. That would mean 208 ypg for a SC appearance in 2011.

BTW, he is already 3rd all time in the TD category, one behind Jaquizz Rogers/Nate Jeffery.

If he has 4000+ yards to break record... not going to happen in one season.

TD record will happen within the first 3-4 games especially if Aledo keeps playing defenses the calibar of LaMarque's, Azle's, Brewer's... If Aledo played teams with defenses more like Stephenville, Mesquite Poteet, Lake Travis's calibar... a different group of stats all together.

Don't anyone will ever break Hall's record. But he could definitely end up at #2, especially in the district they're in.

They clamped down on Aledo pretty good. Just couldn't get anything going on offense with so many out with injuries.

And they play Stephenville the first game of the season again. Sville is the only team to hold Gray under 100 everytime they have played including last year. Sville has a lot returning next year and will have a freshman QB that could be their first to ever play as a frosh. I keep hearing that he is a major stud and could be the next coming of Kolb, Snead, and Luker and maybe better than all 3 were at this age. We will see come next August.

Thanks everybody! Didn't think he was that close, but the way they talked... maybe the 4A record.

Anything is possible for this kid after the numbers he put up in the state game. I wouldn't be surprised if he broke the record. Best of luck!

If he did break it, he would also break Hall's single season rushing yard record

More importantly, does the recent change of verbal by Pflugerville-Hendrickson's Kenny Williams from Tech to A&M affect his preference in committment? Those two were said to be the two leading contenders after the turmoil at UT this year. KW is a 4* and the A&M backfield will be loaded in 2011 and 2012.

There's other reasons he had such a game against La Marque.

Give that OL it's props for this kid's success at state. Our BaseballUmp could of ran threw those holes.
