The DFW area got shut out of State Titles for the first time in quite a while, despite ironically having 6 state championship games played right there.

FWIW -- i would think YES, not for the purpose of claiming a state title, but due to Aledo's proximity to FW

It wasn't thirty years ago but I think all the counties that touch Tarrant and Dallas are now included. Aledo is in Parker County and it is the county west of Tarrant.

I would say "DFW area" more than a DFW team. They certainly aren't west, central or east...and there are towns certainly considered DFW that are futher north.

Yes, Aledo is a metroplex school.

And yes, Parker county is considered part of the metroplex.

Aledo is 20 miles from downtown Ft. Worth and less than 10 miles from the city limits. It's a metroplex school
