Only rate the 3A Teams You have seen Play

Let's have fun and only rate the 3A teams we have seen play. Rate them as a Tier 1 to a Tier 5 team with a Tier 1 team being the highest quality teams and Tier 5 teams being the ones having a very lean year. Teams in the same Tier should be able to beat each other on any given night. Teams can beat a team 1 Tier higher if they are helped by turnovers and/penalties. A team 2 Tiers down should not be able to beat the team 2 Tiers higher. If they do it is a major upset.
Being a Burnet fan I have only seen Burnet games this year. I rate Burnet as a definite Tier 1 team. The only 3A team Burnet has played so far this year is Gatesville. I rate them a Quality Tier 2 team.

Well im going to have to rate Gilmer and Rice Consalidated Tier 1's because they are both very amazing teams and Rice has a chance to win D2.

ok, considering every 3A team I've seen this year, here's my list of team rankings in order of who's the best that I've seen this year:

1.Forney

Diamond Hill-Jarvis 5
Carter-Riverside 4(too much heart to be a 5)
Pinkston 4
Commerce 2

The first two are from Ft Worth and like many urban schools are struggling. Ditto for Dallas Pinkston. Commerce is not on top of their game right now.

Killeen Shoemaker-4
Austin Reagan-5

Although Burnet won the game Gatesville had a touchdown run called back and a wide open receiver drop a well placed pass on the 5. Wouldnt be surprised to see their stock rise as the season continues.

In Killeen Shoemakers defense, one they are 4a, but all the schools in the Killeen area (Harker Heights, Killeen, Killeen Shoemaker, and Killeen Ellison) have problems as kids come and go as that is a military town. Fort Hood is the largest Military Base in the US and that has always been a problem there. Shoemaker has been the weaker of the schools that I know of.

Ballinger - Tier 1
Merkel - Tier 2

I have seen 3 3A teams either in a game or scrimmage.
Buna - 5
Liberty - 3
Kirbyville - 2 to 2.5

In just 9 responses there have been 9 teams rated as Tier 1 teams, meaning it is believed by the rater that these teams can compete with any other 3A team in the State on any given night. I find this very interesting and wonder if we keep this post open all year how big this list will become or how small it will become.

I don't realyy get what tiers are but Forney's performance against commerce was a 10 (10 being the best)

I Have now seen Marlin Play. They have too many quality athelites to be rated under a quality tier 2 team despite their 35-6 loss to Burnet.

I have now seen Llano play and rate them a tier 3 team. They might make the playoffs in Div. 2 because of their huge line but probably wouldn't go very far.
