Nominated athletes must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for recognition:

Have an overall grade point average of 92 or above, including grades 9-12 and the first six weeks of grade 12
Have been a member of the team in good standing at the time of nomination
Must be a senior
Be of good moral character

and sometimes you can meet all these standards and still be left off...I'm never gonna get over being snubbed

Is that the complete and final list? Abilene Wylie usually has several but I see none.....or any from Brownwood, Sweetwater and the the rest of 5-3A.:confused:

Maybe the coaches didn't nominate anyone? Or maybe *gasp* no one qualified?


I'm happy that we had THREE kids! Woohoo! Congrats to ALL the young men who put in the effort to maintain a high level of academics while participating in football! :clap: :clap:

I thought Jaxon Shipley was supposed to be an athletic AND academic whiz?

He is. So is Graylon. Luke Chastain will graduate top in his class.

There is a new way of nominating and the list is not complete. Hope that helps. Should be done on Friday

Nominated kids as well and they weren't selected. After a little research & contacting THSCA found out nominations weren't received...computer glitch...there were other coaches across the state that experienced the samething...They are accepting them TODAY only...Coaches can FAX or email them to 512/392-3762 or mollywoodchick@thsca.com

I don't think the list have changed. I might be wrong but they look the same. They have different URL's but they are both 42 pages and seem to have the exact same amount of players on it.
