I'm sold on East Texas Football

The days of West Texas football and Mojo Football are long gone.After 2005 when Monahans lost to Sweetwater in the Qtr Finals then Sweetwater gets beat the following week by Tatum ..and now Monahans loosing to Brownwood in Qtr Finals then Bw loosing to Carthage..East Texas just has more athletes and speed..Im a believer now

I will agree and disagree. Top to bottom east texas is the best. But the top tier teams such as semifinal caliber can be highly competitive, regardless of region or where your house is.

Longview just lost in 5A( of course there are only 3 5A east Texas Teams)

4A JT made it to last week( 10 4A teams in East Texas)

So...of all 11-man classes, across the last (lets say) 30 years....what does each region have in championships? I know this will be a nebulous answer since teams move from one region to the other, but I wouldnt be surprised if East Texas still wins it...but the delta wont be so wide, I suspect. But...this is a question for WOS87!!!

Incidently, Goldthwaite has won a state championship in all three regions it has played in, Region 1, 2, & 4.

I think East Texas has all of the above..........except for, maybe, money (only some schools have that).:D We definitely have speed, strength, and lots of humidity!;) I think it's also fair to say East Texas has HEART. After all, it takes heart to know how to win when the game is on the line......:clap:
