it seems that the fact that henderson beat a great chapel hill team for the actual state championship in DI has almost been forgotten...i wish i could've seen both games, but congrats to henderson on winning the whole shebang! wish i could make the DII game next week too, but this time of year is crazy busy!

You are absoulutely right, spaniard. Let me offer my congrats to the new 2010 3A DI State Champions- the Henderson Lions. You did it the old-fashioned way---you earned it when many didn't know who you were or where you were from---well, all of texas does now. Well done. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Timing. There are a lot of games at Jerry's World next weekend. Easy to setup and televise those games.

Congrats.. I knew you could do it. Came down to defense Offense put up points and you stopped a powerful offense and held them to 21 points. What's crazy is Henderson is just 2 halves away from not even making the playoffs. They came back to beat Spring Hill and Pittsburg from halftime deficits. If they don't come back in those games, or even possibly just 1 of them, they completely miss out in the playoffs.

I believe that shows the true strength of district 16-3a. Not just the fact that there are 2 teams playing for state championships (1 already winning, obviously) but that the 4th and 5th place teams were VERY close to beating the Division I State Champion.

Again, Congrats to Henderson on your 1st state championship.
