....i didn't get to see a single HS game this year and havent got to really keep up with any teams....but what teams are bringing back several starters or have great players coming up?? This way i can at least have some teams in the back of my mind when next season rolls around

Chapel Hill had a damn good team this year and they're bringing back the house. I think they'll probably be pre-season top 5 and roll through their schedule. Wouldn't surprise me if they won it next year.

wimberley will be top 5 for sure.

Wimberley is returning every single skill position. We are losing some good linemen, and one player who was a great return specialist...but the others who are returning can fill that position. The line will be our biggest challenge.

Haha...i already heard that song this past season....there were 3 things I heard through the duration of the season...how AMAZING and HISTORICAL Brownwood's team is; how pretty dang good Monahans was this year; and Sweetwater got most improved team of the year award:p

Cuero will be in the mix with Mr. T leading the way. Gotta get that "D" lined out though.

I can remember back in the day, when a team did what SH did as they entered the field this year at Gobbler Stadium, you'd have some issues afterwards. They need that attitude back.

I always wish we could've scheduled teams like Cuero, Jasper, etc. in our pre-district schedule when I was in HS...I think that competition would have been better for our team down the road

Get that Sealy game Austin Chapter TASO crew ya'll used for this one. LOL. I'm kidding, and having fun only, relax. That has to be the Fox Sports DQ game of the week I'd say.

What did SH do?
I expect to see Argyle, Alvarado, and Prosper back in the mix next year. I expect Lovejoy to have a HUGE drop off.

Henderson will have a great chance to repeat with alot coming back and a really stout JV squad. But once your on top its hard to stay there.

True, but better to defend the top than fight an uphill battle. ;)

Rockdale could make serious noise led by the middle linebacker who will b a senior and his little bro might move inside with him and he will b a sophomore..... Also Columbus is getting all skill players back for most part if they find a decent o-line will be good.... Neither teams will be favorites but could make serious noise come playoff time

WO-S will be better and better the next two years with a Sophomore QB who stepped up and performed awesomely for the majority of this season under dire circumstances. We have a huge number of starters returning next year as well.

sure felt bad for your qb had to live in reggie's big shadow this year....i think everyone's gonna see a different man next year when it's just his team......

Chapel Hill is losing a WR and one lineman on offense. Two dlineman, two LB's, and one in the secondary.

2 of the 3 RB's return.

With some good young talent coming, they should do pretty good next year.

Again, congrats to Henderson for taking this years title.

Yeah, Henderson is assured D1, correct? We are definitely assured D2, no matter what. But honestly Tin Cup...howmany starters will be returning for BW? Less than 6?

Don't know if it equals a state championship or not but Argyle has:
A 13-1 record
A 10-0 JV record
And 8/7 returning staters
And 3 freshmen(#19, #23, #41) that didn't start, but played a lot.

I'll take that.
However, if you look at stats, Brownwood will be able to beat the Texas Longhorns next year. What a joke. Too Funny!!

You know what...youre right...Andrews was one of the top teams in 4a when we played them our senior year...Midland Greenwood who had Dawson Wilbur and Jeremy Audis...i guess we didnt really have a cupcake schedule....injuries to key players did hurt us...mainly at the QB and RB positions

Yeah our pre district as I remember it were those two, Wylie, Vernon and Graham all of who made the playoffs. Even with the injuries still think we could of made a legit run if some coaches would have decided on the right quarterback in the Vernon game

If Wimberly has to go D2 then they can't play Celina....Celina has to go D1 since they are the biggest in the district at 500-something....

the boy syas the JV qb may be the starter next year and this year's backup qb may well go to db to tighten up the defense....the OL will be very good....and maybe next year they will realize just how good the Region2 D1 bracket is and not be looking ahead like they did this year.....they figured Sealy was the 1 to watch this year and I told him they had to get out of the Region first.....and they dint.....

that district of doom or whatever they are called sure turned out to be pretty tough alright.....

I have seen Wimberley's roster and they have a lot coming back. They could win it all. Cuero has the big back Trent Jackson and if they can find a QB could be a sleeper. Their road schedule is a killer.

I think we will be very strong next year especially if Smith is back and ready to go. We return almost everyone and the people we are losing are replaceable along the line because we have some big boys coming up from JV. The kicker Kutz will be our toughest guy too replace but we return all the main skill position guys on offense and most of our defense. Probably only losing 5-7 seniors that are big contributors so I think we could have a very good chance to get a title next year.

Only if they make the play-off. They finished 3rd this year...look for others in the Most Overated District of Doom in '11.

a lot teams in that Wimberley district return quite a bit and should be forces to reckon with...........Navarro and Canyon Lake.

and I would think Bandera and Fredericksburg should bounce back.

How strong is Canyon Lake? How'd their subvarsities do? How close are they to 4a?

don't know how close they are to moving it might be a couple alignments....think they would have to redraw attendence zones..........I believe their JV won district and Fresh were solid.

they have a solid qb with really good receivers ...and dang good back.

I expected them to be state championship contenders if they stayed 3a long enough.
