Good luck to Carthage in completing something that is rarely done.

if i was to just throw a wild guess I'd say Celina...maybe not 3A but a couple others that come to mind are SLC, Stephenville from the 90's and La Marque from the 90's...i dont have the stats like WOS does but those are some dominant era's that come to mind

It seemed like if slc didnt go than katy did. no pun intended. lol

SLC, Celina, and Sealy I think are the only ones to win 3 in a row. Katy reached the finals 3 times in a row on two occasions, but has never won 3 in a row.

Cuero's class of 1976 (my class :) ) won it all in 1973 and 1974 and lost the State game to Ennis 13-10 hence the 44inarow...

This was a post from August 2008. I'll have to do some research & update because I believe Lake Travis needs to be added, and maybe Katy (not sure at all about them!).

That's what I was thinking. The original (08/08) post was taken from some archived thing somewhere and I have no idea where I took the info from to go back to get an update.

(You'd think I'd have heard about LT enough in the Austin media that I wouldn't have had to think about it! )

I originally posted this back in 2007. Since then Katy, Lake Travis and Carthage have been added to the list. Have I missed anyone else that's done it recently?

This is accurate up to going into Week 16 of 2010 so Carthage has the chance to make the 3 Consecutive State Titles list next week and Lake Travis has to beat Friendswood today to get 4 finals in a row. If Daingerfield wins over Littlefield today they will have made it to 3 finals in a row for the second time and still have a chance to win 3 titles in a row this year.

Consecutive State Titles
4 - Fort Hancock (6-man) 1988-1991
4 - Sealy (3A) 1994-1997
4 - Celina (2A) 1998-2001
3 - Old Waco High 1925-1927
3 - Amarillo 1934-1936
3 - Abilene 1954-1956
3 - Big Sandy 1973-1975 (Class B)
3 - La Marque 1995-1997 (4A)
3 - Midland Lee 1998-2000 (5A)
3 - Southlake Carroll 2004-2006 (5A)
3 - Lake Travis 2007-2009 (4A)

Consecutive State Finals
