Take it from somebody who has "been there done that"...call someone who has first hand knowledge of the stadium and see if the gates will even be unlocked AND if they will evenlet anyone on the track.

Don't take it for granted!!!

I just asked a DISD head coach if you can go from one side to the other, his response, "No".

You have to remember DISD usually needs higher security for their games then Brownwood does. I doubt they just open the track up and let people start to roam around because it's a playoff game.

And just because they are unlocked when you go through doesn't mean they will be when you

That is unless everyone can get there early about 5pm or so beforehand and meet at a designated place outside the stadium. Anyway, somebody line it out and I will follow directions.

Emerson, its basketball but its DISD basketball and its a big draw..those schools bring big crowds for hoops...plus its the Chris Bosh classic..there will be a big crowd

So I guess there is no need for me to call Carter and ask them. I was just wondering what they would do if they sold more than 15,000 seats. In S-ville, they overflowed onto the track. Beast was saying he bet they put overflow somewhere. Money is money. But if they have very strict rules about side to side, guess they would have to just turn the money away. Hummmm.

There is room for standing room only above the visitors stands and in between the two levels on the home side...there is a grassy area under the scoreboard they could sit people in also I believe..you could maybe squeeze 17 in there....

My guess is Brownwood brings 7k and Carthage 5 or 6k....it'll depend on the non-affiliated walk up crowd..the game being in a large metro area could account for bigger than usual group

Last week, I was predicting around 10-12 K in San Angelo. Man was I off. 16K and some change. WOW! I expect more for the fact that it's in the Metroplex and there are a lot of Brownwood Alum up there. Not to mention it's the State semi's between 2 great tradition rich schools. We shall see in about 8 hours.

So is the game going to be streamed online? I had heard that if it sold out a Brownwood or Abilene station would stream it? I can't remember for sure.

I am in Richardson right now and would like to make it but I would have to drive to RC, pick up my daughter, and then drive to the stadium...stand in line for who knows how long for maybe a chance to get a ticket to stand up for the whole game (or the rest of it once I get inside, the standing part I really don't care about)...

The real reason i ask is that today is my wife's birthday...you know her day. I can just see it now, walk in the door..."Happy BDay, you mind if I go to Dallas for a HS game?", yeh right. That'll go over like a Baby Ruth in the bathtub. If I do this right I can take my wife to dinner and get home and follow 2 or 3 games online...
