Its a flaw with any single site, but I am sure the kids and fans from those towns will be ok.

Cedar Hill and DeSoto, two suburbs of Dallas 10 miles apart played the title game in basketball a few years ago in Austin.

sure they will be alright...and it has happen in the other sports cause the single site will do that when as in case of other sports you bring together the four regional champions to play over a weekend.

not complaining here.......if i followed one of those teams i would figure out a way to be there.

At least they have roughly equal travel distance. What about if a metroplex team was playing one from the Houston area or Rio Grande valley? Even though Jerryworld is closer to me than Austin, SA or Houston...I think they should rotate the sites between Jeryworld, Royal memorial, Alamodome and Reliant every year to keep it fair.

The game should be on TV for those who can't make it, or at least someone should be able to stream it live online.

They can raise all the hell they want, it won't matter.

Haven't they made the playoffs like 30 straight years and never gone all the way? They should be happy they are there.

Hadn't heard a word about that. If anything it could be the potential of a 7-hour bus ride that's cause for concern.

But I'd take the ride over turning in pads and helmets any day.

Though, now that they mention it, yeah it does suck playing either Aledo or Poteet in their backyard. Needless to say, I imagine this is the furthest thing from their minds with a nemesis like La Marque left to play.

Same road (HWY 64) and 26 miles apart. I can't speak for the Henderson fans, but none of the Chapel Hill fans I know have been complaining. They are all happy they can go watch a game there that won't cost them $200 per ticket and $100 to park.
