It starts at 4:30 P.M. on ESPNU. It should be a great one as Notre Dame plays Stanford. Since ND has won several times in the past few years I hope Stanford can pull it off. It should be a thriller. Enjoy!

Notre Dame won 1-0 by scoring the only goal in the 63rd minute and holding on. Both teams had good chances to score several times but ND made one and held on. ND was a fourth seeded team and Stanford was No. 1 but I don't consider this an upset. ND felt slided because they felt they were better than a fourth seed but they dropped losing a 2-0 game to Connecticut in the final Big East Championship. But they still had a great record but that put them back. But they quickly got their act together and went through the toughest tournament bracket ever to get to the championship game including having to beat North Carolina in Chapel Hill 4-1 and Oklahoma State 2-0. Those two games showed they were great and had their act together and peaked at the right time.
A great team indeed.

From what I watched of the game the final didn't surprise me because both teams had chances to score other goals but didn't but it did seem like ND was playing with more determination and energy.

I was there for ND first rd game vs New Mexico stayed & got my daughter a autograph soccer ball from players now there NCAA National Champs in wommens soccer pretty cool. Did this during weekend for ND game vs Utah
