Pecans Pralines and Cream. The taste sort of reminds me of Super Sugar Crisp Cereal, another favorite. Best time to eat it is when it's really cold outside. wink

Any flavor, any time, any where!!

I am having Blue Bell withdrawals!!

I actually got on their web site the other day to see how much it would cost to have some shipped to me. $80 for four half-gallons. I am seriously considering it.

I love all their flavors, and I would kill for some good ole Homemade Vanilla right about now. The cows are right, Brenham is heaven.

When do I like it? Whenever I can get my hands on it... which isn't too often since it's not sold in Kansas. BUT, I have found a little town on the north side of Oklahoma about an hour from here that does sell it. So, unlike our poor Washington state 3ADL members, I do have an out. I still don't get it as often as I'd like, though.

Blue Bell has a new flavor that is outstanding. Tres leces with strawberries, or something like that. Comes in a green carton. It is like vanilla ice cream with strawberry cake. Unbelievable. I didn't figure I would like it, always favored cookies n cream or Moolenium (sp?), but this new flavor is worth a try.

Toss-up...Tin Roof and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

Interesting story...back in 1989 I was at A&M and one of the BigWigs at Bluebell was having a question and answer session in one of my ag classes. I stood up and asked how come blue bell is not trying to sell in the west texas markets and that it would be a good idea to do so. The guy practically jumped all over me like I was trying to challenge him or something. He proceeded to say that the distribution area compared to the population was too big in west texas and that we would never go out that direction. I felt like a whipped puppy when he had got through with me. A few years later Blue Bell opened up distribution in west texas and set all kinds of sales records!...Hopefully they fired that guy. :D

Vanilla is the best.
Try it on a brownie.
Put the brownie in a bowl and microwave it for 20-30 seconds. Then put a nice helping of vanilla on top of the hot brownie and it's like magic. The vanilla slowly :( melts on top of the brownie creating the most wonderful state :) of melted ice cream mixed with cold ice cream eek! and hot brownie. It's heaven on earth! :D :D
I find the Little Debby brownies work just fine.

The homemade vanilla is great with hot peach cobbler. Still though, you just haven't lived until you've had that Tin Roof. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel swirls and loaded with chocolate covered peanuts. Man, that's some good stuff. Only problem is it's addictive. Not true, another problem is that Blue Bell doesn't make it all that often.

Anyone want to put a name with this new flavor?Bland! :D

Brahmamom, sorry about the no ice cream deal. That stinks. But all the food your doc told you to eat (except fish-yuck!!!) sounds really good to me. I guess cause being at college, you don't really have that good home-cooked stuff. I've actually been craving veggies. Whenever I used to go to Golden Corral, I would load up on junk and stuff...now I head straight for the pot roast, veggies, and salad!! Yum, yum!! :D :p

FBB: If you can pull strings at Blue Bell, I like chocolate and can have nuts (right kind of fat). They could make it with carob that tastes like chocolate and some nuts and Splenda and no other kind of fat, like chocolate water and nuts. Sounds, well, not great, but I'm really missing chocolate. Agweather, I like veggies but you'd be surprised how old that gets. Raw broccoli as a snack, oh come on, even with low fat dressing to dip it in, is not THAT much fun! As a mom, though, I hope you ARE eating your veggies. If not, at least take vitamins! Let me know if you have any luck with the Blue Bell folks, FBB. I haven't thought of a name, but Bland kind of fits.

afflac, sweetie, you really need to not set yourself up like this. You could be eating the next Blue Bell flavor: Homemade Crow. It doesn't seem wise to mouth off to a herd of Brahma Bulls and their fans, ever heard of a stampede. Unless you are backing these words up yourself on the field, I think I'd just say "Go Huffman"--just a little motherly advice!

On behalf of all the Raider fans, I would like to apologize for the remarks made about Bellville by Afflac65. And hopefully, he won't have to eat Homemade crow tonight. Congrats on your game last night. You continue to prove that Bellville is a first rate team. Hope to meet up with you again down the playoff road. I also want to wish our Raider boys the best of luck tonight and to pray for a injury free and safe game for both teams.

47-7, that was a lot off kid pops I had to eat, 47 pops! I am so glad we let our 2nd and 3rd teamers play after the game is in hand, I dont think I could eat over 50 in one day. I will have to make a trip to wal-mart tonight, I am out of pops and ice cream!

I understand tradition, superstition, and all that, but I'm starting to worry about all the red dye in your system. My favorites were Mocha Almond Fudge and Carmel Sudae Crunch, but apparently they don't make those anymore. But, I have become quite the fan of Moolenium Crunch. And, the best time to eat it is, anytime.

Caramel Pecan Fudge - a seasonal flavor that comes out in spring usually.

Cookies, Cookies, Cookies - Discontinued because I was on a diet and didn't eat enough. Waaay better than Cookies N Creme.

OMG! I was raised on Super Sugar Crisp! I love Pecans, Pralines and Cream. My new favorites include Peanut Brittle (real pieces of brittle) and Cinammon. Dang, I'm hungry now!

No, haven't seen the Red Mustache in quite a while. He is probably reading DCTF. He should be down for the Bellville/Navasota game.
