Does Connor Wood factor into the battle for starting QB next year?

After the season they had this year, I think the mindset going into the spring has got to be on of "Every single position is up for grabs". Everything that I saw in the spring and read about in the offseason led me to think that Connor Wood was better than Case McCoy. I will be the first to say that Gilbert received more blame this season than he deserved, but at the same time he didn't do enough to say "Wow, this kid is our starter for the next 3 years". I think Wood challenges for the spot.

For certain, Gilbert didn't get much help from his receivers this season. But it was hard to come away and judge his work as a whole and feel excited. Granted, you don't follow up Colt (and perhaps Vince) and get a fair judgement. But thats how it goes.

I think Wood and Gilbert should both get a shot next year. If you are a Case fan, then you probably want to throw him in the mix too.

Probably depends on who they bring in to run the offense. I think it's good idea to have the competition.
