Alas, if you waited to get tickets for the Coppell-Euless Trinity game, you have waited too long.

The game is sold out. Coppell sold out its allotment of tickets on Wednesday, as did Trinity.

But don't fret if you didn't get a ticket. The game will be broadcast live on TXA 21 at 7:30 Friday.

Since the game was sold out 48 hours in advance of kickoff, the game -- per UIL rules -- is allowed to be shown live on television.

According to TXA 21's director of communications Lori Conrad this will be the first time a Friday night high school football playoff game in North Texas will be shown live on TV.

Only 10,000 tickets were sold for the game, for the 12,600-capacity Dragon Stadium, affording an allowance for the bands, pep squads and those with passes (The only passes to be accepted for the game are: Texas High School Coaches Association, Texas Girls Coaches Association, and District 6-5A Administrator/Coach passes).

Important to remember for those who actually have tickets: the 12,600 isn't all seated. The home side of the stands, which will be primarily Trinty's, holds 5,901, the visitor side 3,000 and the end zone (which will all be Coppell's) seats 1,800. That means 1,899 standing spectators, if the stadium is at capacity. So dress warm, grab some popcorn and get there early.
