It was done right after the regular season ended but by dist rules it couldn't be published untill all playoff teams in D-23 were done . With that said it should be in your next edition of your local news paper .

WOW NO #13 JACOB HENDERSON made just as much impact on defense as Daniels - in my opinion only kid on the defenses side of the ball that never quit when things were not going good for LG

and no i had no dog in the fight this year, he is a great kid on and off the field

I would have to agree Jacob played hard every play, having to move from secondary to LB might have had something to do with him not making it. Having to learn a new position is tough to do in one year, Also with LG not making the playoffs made a big difference. Look at the number of All District players that made it from playoff teams, last year pretty sure LG had like 17 or 18 players make it.

Congratulations to the Lep All District players! I agree Childs would have finished higher had he not sprained his ankle in the first district game. That slowed him down considerably for the remaining district games. Also #13 Henderson was outstanding and seemed to be in almost every big defensive play yet didn't get the nod. Had the Leps just squeaked out another win or two who knows? Anyway #18 Vinklarek getting 1st team as a newcomer sophomore is very impressive and portends good things in the coming seasons for the Leopards. I guess that puts to rest all that qb conroversy in the early season as well.

Day from Navasota was a stellar all around athlete and earned MVP. Brooks from Rockdale was the best running back I saw in the district this year. He was so explosive and hard to hit. I think his late season performance was so good that he carried the Tigers to the play offs over a very deserving Caldwell team. That being said, all these district players are outstanding and were exciting to watch this year even if the Leps fell short by not making the play offs in such a competitive district.

Looking forward to next year, I know the 2011 leps will be working hard in the offseason and will continue into the summer program. With our new coaches having a full year to work with our players, I feel good times are ahead.

Off season work will be very important if the 2011 Leps want to make the playoffs. They need to rebuild both the o line and the d line which means those rising juniors will need to hit the weight room. I'm looking forward to next year as well.

The OL will be big and young next year, they will have the benefit of working together for 2 years. Look for a little more smash mouth football next year, some young and upcoming RB's will be running behind a big line. The D-line will also be very big and with the return of Kolek at LB we will have that leadership with him and Childs, football season can't come fast enough for this group of kids. Great group of kids coming up, with a lot of talent.

How bout that Schneider boy? Now if he would just realize how much money he can save by playing college ball instead of taking out loans he'll be alright

Rockdale returns RB Brooks jr,Patrick David OL jr both 1st team and a soph QB that did alot of growing up this year on offense. The defense will be led by 2 1st team guys at LB Derek David jr and LB James David Fr.
IMO Giddings RB Glen so. and Hickey so. will be really good next year. LaGrange will miss Wilkerson ALOT next year, very hard to replace him, and Caldwell will really miss Cumby.
Next year early preseason I see on the way up: Lagrange, Rockdale, Giddings and yes Smithville( they might even beat caldwell next season). Going down: Navasota( going down but still very talented), Caldwell.
