How long has your current HC been at your school?

Hugh Sandifer going on 25 years at Wylie...and I believe some of the assistants have been there nearly as long. The school district seems to really take care of the coaches as far as pay and other areas..

Coach Sapp at Cameron has been on staff since 80 or 81 he was the HC, but stepped down and is now OC

Coach Jeff Traylor, who graduated from Gilmer in 1986, came back to his alma mater in 2000, his first head coach (and hopefully his last) position. Since he came back his record as HC/AD is 121-21, with 2 state championships out of 3 state championship appearances, 9 undefeated district championships, and 10 straight playoff appearances.

Actually he is now just the special teams coach. We have a younger guy running the offense. Our HC has been here 2 full years now.

Coach Allen completed his 4th (football) year in Sinton. He is 34-13 with 3 playoff appearances.

He has 3-4 vets that have been in Sinton 20+ years.

I think this season is the 17th consectutive playoff appearance for Wylie, which I believe is the longest streak in 3A....but I bet I know who would know for sure! :thumbsup:

Even though we rarely won against him we always enjoyed playing against him. Except in '85. State championship year. Lost to them in bidistrict round with our best team in history. We did come the closest to beating them that year I believe. 27-7:D

Sapp has been there since 79 in one capacity or another.
