We ate at Brown St. Cafe downtown Ennis last Friday. It was ok.

For Mexican, you've got Don Jose's on the far end of town(about 5 minutes from I45). For BBQ, you've got Bubba's BBQ on the northbound side of I45. Everything else is pretty much the same as in any town(Chili's, Taco Cabana, fast food joints, etc...).

We stopped and ate at Braum's on the way in, then stopped at IHOP on the way home. Of course, I had the family with me so the choices were limited to what they wanted.:D

i lived there for five years, go have a steak at bubba's. when you walk in, there is a freezer on your left, pick out the one that looks the best to you (make sure to get a healthy amount of marbling), give it to the lady and wait for deliciousness. it advertises itself as a bbq joint but the steaks are the way to go.

if you want mexican, go downtown, cross the tracks and on the left at the third light is taqueria mexicano grill. eat there. don jose's is gross and no bueno. ate there 3 times, saw roaches two times.

I lived there for 18 years. The roaches don't eat much :clap:
