Has there ever been two state champs from the same district?

Think it happened in 1A a couple of years back with Stratford and Canadian.

yes

Converse Judson & SA Roosevelt each won a title one year while they were in the same district

I think there were a few other but I can't recall right now

If I remember right, did Converse Judson and SA Roosevelt both win it all a few years back and they were in the same district?

5A SA Roosvelt and Judson did it
4A Texas City and LaMarque

and I think in 2A...San Augustine and some other team did it recently

In 2008 Prosper won Division I and Celina lost in the title game in Division II. That as going to be pretty awesome.

I think that was Garrison and San Augustine in 2003, but that is from memory....

its happened several times, and i think Judson/Roosevelt were the first.

Close but no cigar to:

3a-A. Wylie/Graham...both lost in SC game 2009
4a-Waco/Copperas Cove...both lost in SC game 2007

Brownwoods last 2 districts

i think forney and commerce both lost in the state finals in 2000....

That was Colt McCoys Sr. year in High School, San Augustine beat Jim Ned in the SC at Ennis. Then the HC at San Augustine was fired because he was given a ultimatum to win district or be fired, Garrison won district, he still won a SC and lost his job.

Not really how it went down

The HC of SA Lynn Graves had said either before the season or during that he was going to retire...well then they won state so he said nope I change my mind...the board said no we are going to honor your intentions to retire..it was crazy.
