Great show if you have never seen it this episode looks top notch talking about Herschel struggling through an abusive childhood to get to where he is.

  I'm not sure how anyone could have watched that and not be a Herschel fan afterwards.

I've known who Herschel was since he was in 7th grade... I have a whole new level of respect for him as a person after watching tonight. I truly wish him success in life--whether it includes football in his future or not.

When he came back in after hurting his shoulder and refused to allow the coaches to keep him on the sidelines I got goosebumps. Not many kids have that in them these days.

I agree and hope things so well for him at Oklahoma State

except where it adversely affects UT of course.

I agree Phil. The thing that stood out most to me is eventhough he has his goals set and sights on the NFL, he understands that there is no guarantee that it will happen and aims to be successful in life no matter if he makes it to the NFL or not.

Anyone see the scene in truck after he picked his mom up? They were holding up a really cool magazine...LOL

He's coming here to Stillwater I believe.

Great young man, hope I get to shake his hand if he's a student in my class.

The thing is that he can have the opportunity to get a good education. Many athletes don't take advantage of that.

My son lives across the street from him here in Abilene. When MTV came to town for filming they got the address wrong and went to my son's house. So he pointed them to the correct address. They told my son "We were wondering why Herschel would drive a minivan!" (My son has three kids).
